Ready to build on what you've learned?

This intermediate workshop is designed for students who have completed my Intro to Silversmithing class and are ready to deepen their skills at the bench! During this four-hour session, you will create a custom bezel setting from start to finish and set a cabochon of your choice into a finished piece.

What You’ll Learn

• How to measure and fit bezel wire to a cabochon

• Soldering a bezel seam cleanly and confidently

• Attaching your bezel to a backplate

• Shaping and refining your design

• Setting your stone securely and professionally

• Students are welcome to bring their own cabochon (must be flat-backed and appropriate for bezel setting), or choose from a curated selection of stones available during class.

• You’re comfortable using a torch and basic tools

• You’re ready to refine your technique and gain more independence at the bench

• You want to confidently set your own stones
